"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing." ~Walt Disney

Anything less will condemn your efforts to failure". ~Andrew Grove

Many troops in Iraq say that Hollywood actor Chuck Norris has 'mythical' status.

FALLUJAH, Iraq - Hollywood action star Chuck Norris has become a cult figure among the U.S. military in Iraq and an unlikely hero for some in Iraq's security forces.

A small cardboard shrine is dedicated to Norris at a U.S. military helicopter hub in Baghdad, and comments lauding the manliness and virility of the actor have been left on toilet walls across Iraq and even in neighboring Kuwait, soldiers say.

"The fastest way to a man's heart is with Chuck Norris's fist," reads one message at the shrine, which consists of a signed photo of the actor surrounded by similar statements.

STRANGE SECRETS
By Earl Nightingale

Here is an excerpt from The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale and George Bernard Shaw

"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, they make them." Well, it's pretty apparent, isn't it? And every person who discovered this believed (for a while) that he was the first one to work it out.

We become what we think about.

Conversely, the person who has no goal, who doesn't know where he is going, and whose thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion, anxiety and worry - his life becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry.

And if he thinks about nothing... he becomes nothing.

How does it work? Why do we become what we think about? Well, I'll tell you how it works, as far as we know.To do this, I want to tell you about a situation that parallels the human mind.

I was raised by a wheat farmer in Canada. Suppose my father, a farmer, had some land, and it's good, fertile land. The land gives the farmer a choice; he may plant in that land whatever he chooses. The land doesn't care. It's up to the farmer to make the decision.

We are comparing the human mind with the land because the mind, like the land, doesn't care what you plant in it. It will return what you plant, but it doesn't care what you plant.

Now, let's say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand- one is a seed of corn, the other is night shade, a deadly poison. He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds-one corn, the other night shade. He covers up the holes, waters and takes care of the land...and what will happen? Invariably, the land will return what was planted.

As it's written in the Bible, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."

Remember the land doesn't care. It will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will corn. So up comes the two plants - one corn, one poison.

The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn't care what we plant...success...or failure. A concrete, worth while goal.or confusion, misunderstanding, fear, anxiety and so on. But what we plant it must return to us.

You see, the human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we want to plant.....

WALT DISNEY NEVER GAVE UP
Looking back historically, Success doesn't always occur immediately for any of us. Sometimes, there are a lot of disappointments before success finally surfaces. You will see in these instances, what can happen. Instead of quitting, these individuals continued  despite the incredible odds against them. They seemed to see their true purpose and did not give up, no matter what happened.

As a young person, Walt Disney faced many rejections from those who said he had no talent. One day, a minister at a local church hired him to draw some cartoons. Disney was working out of a small rodent-infested shed near the church. Seeing a small mouse had inspired him to draw a new cartoon. That was the beginning of Mickey Mouse and we all know the rest of the story. Successful people attain a successful future not because they do things any different. They become highly successful because they do the  things that matter most to them. They never never give up on their dreams. You shouldn't Either!
Another interesting story is the one about Lee De Forest. Lee invented the triode tube  in 1913 was charged by the district attorney for using fraudulent means to convince the public to buy stocks in his company by claiming that he could transmit the human voice across the Atlantic Ocean. He was then publicly humiliated over this issue. Today, we know that he was correct to have made that claim.
Looking back into history, you’ll find that the world’s greatest success stories have had a life complicated by past failures but instead of giving up, they go on to success despite the odds of the moment. They recognize the one purpose to which they are in need of creating the solution. People who succeed don't see the possibility of failure. They see a road straight ahead in the direction of success. It is not about getting lucky. It is not about just being at the right place at the right time. It is simply about deciding not to give up. Successful people understand what they need to do. Best of luck to all of you and hopefully  you make the right decision to begin what you choose to do in life.-John

Is Network Marketing Your Cup of Tea?

By Terry Tay Why some people choose to do network marketing instead of a traditional 9 to 5 job? The answer is dead simple. They want more time and freedom as well as money. Network marketing falls into those categories. Are you in one of those categories? If you are, the good news is that network marketing will be able to fulfill your demands or wants but it is not for everyone. Most people thought that network marketing is about bringing 3 or 4 down lines and expect to them to expand your organization network. No! It does not work that way. It's about communication, motivation and helping each other out. This is right way to expand your team, it's more than just selling. The thing is, is network marketing your cup of tea? The bad news is not everyone is cut for doing it. People who are looking for a get rich quick program or people who are lazy, network marketing is not for you. If you guys have the misconception that network-marketing is get rich quick program or some illegal pyramid scheme, you are totally wrong. Give me a second to correct you, it is a legitimate business model which enables you to make recurring income and get rich (quicker). Illegal pyramid scheme has got nothing to sell, it merely takes someone else money and pays you. I must agree that the beginning stage of network marketing is the toughest and very often most marketers don't receive fat pay checks. That's just the beginning. To succeed in you need to be determined, hardworking and have a hunger for success. You need to have a goal or a reason! It can be more time that you want so that you can spend more time with you family or it can be more money you want so that you can buy the things you always wanted. You need to have a goal or a reason to work for and that's what ultimately drives you to work towards your success. Lazy people, I'm not saying that it is not totally for you. Listen close, I was once a lazy student, I don't do my homework and I will always be late for lectures. If I can change from a lazy guy to now a full of drive person, you can do it to. One thing I learn was that the only person that could stop you from doing anything is YOU. Only you will determine what you want or want to be. If you tell yourself that you want to succeed, you will succeed! Let me just sum up everything, network marketing is not a get rich quick scheme but a get rich quicker, longer and legitimate program. It's not for lazy people but if you decided to change (just like I did) then be prepare for incredible amounts of growth. Terry Tay is an Internet Network Marketer. He is with a team of online entrepreneurs who are experiencing growth in their home business and recently made a sales of $10,045 in only 24hrs. LIVING IN THE MIDEAST PART 4

By John Sprague. When I arrived at Cedar,Iraq in the early spring of 2004, it was in the midst of the rainy season there. The base at Cedar was all dirt roads and I got to live in a tent. That was ok for me as I had a partitioned 5 x 6 ft section with a sleeping bag and mattress under that which was atleast up off the floor. Most of the vehicles there had an inch or more of mud on them. My new clean Suburban stood out in the parking lot. I wasn't there a whole day when I was approached by the medics. Their Ambulance was gone for repairs and they wouldn't get it back for two weeks or more. Yes, they wanted to borrow my car. In exchange, I got to use an old dirty Pajero SUV with a broken windshield. No problem I thought, I'll get it back in a couple weeks and they needed it more than I did. Cedar was usually a dustbowl with lots of biting insects but now it was puddles of water everywhere. The soil there is a mix of sand, soil and clay. It sticks to everything when wet. I was still able to do my work there and the people there, both soldiers and contractors were very nice and friendly. On Palm Sunday, I went to a church service in the chapel on base. After the service, the Pastor said to stay because there was going to be a special movie showing that hadn't been announced. This is where I got to see my first showing of The Passion which was brand new at that time. I was glad that I had gone to church that Sunday! As I said before, Outside Talil is where the birthplace of Abraham was. Talil was an airbase that is now used by the US Army and also Coalition Troops from So Korea and Italy. Every day the Italians would set off controlled explosions. You never knew when they would go off and we could hear them 5 miles away at Cedar and they were very load. They were destroying old bombs and ammunitions that they got from all over that area. The So Koreans stayed mainly on the base there building sidewalks and other projects. I liked to go over to Talil because they had a Pizza Hut and Burger King there as well as a larger PX than the one we had at Cedar. John is a resident of Bellingham,MA and is presently living and working in the mideast. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=John_Sprague
