In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American
Sentiment and negativity, we should remember Englands Former Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his
Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want
in ... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever
offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Kuwait is not a very big country. It is probably about the size of RI with a Texas and a California next to it. Since Kuwait discovered Oil in 1938, things have been on the up and up. Kuwaitis drive a huge number of Mercedes and BMWs. They are quite affluent. In fact I had heard that the Kuwait Govt. shares its oil wealth with its citizens. Citizens each get a monthly stipend; also receive income from being sponsors for foreign workers. Only citizens may own property so that rental income is also a factor in their standard of living. Medical care is free and Oil and Electricity is cheap. They have beautiful malls such as the City Center and the Marina Mall. There are dozens of McDonalds, several Burger Kings, and numerous Starbucks too. I've eaten at Applebees, KFC and Hardy. There are also Fridays, Chi Chi's, Chili's and a brand new Hard Rock Cafe in Kuwait City. There is construction going on everywhere. The highways are very nice also but the drivers are very fast. I've never seen so many wrecks than over here. Once you get out of the congested mid section of the country, it turns to desert. Going in a southerly direction you start to see the sheep herders and their flocks. You start to see an occasional camel.
When you get nearer to Saudi Arabia, there are herds of camels. They come in several colors. I've seen brown ones, tan, grey and even a few white camels. One morning, I was driving down this same hwy and there were 8 camels in the middle of the highway. I came to a stop while another driver was jamming on his brakes. These are massive animals. They are thinner than a moose but probably a little taller. You don't want to hit one let alone 8 of them. Kuwait has an open range and they go where they want to. They are pretty proud of their camels. This is just one more reason why you don't want to hit one of these one hump camels. The fines are in the thousands. I have pictures of some of the camels but they are on my home comp back in the states. Sometimes, sheep and goats are in the road too and you have to stop and wait.

By John Sprague
Recently, I received this story inside an email. A man was exploring some caves by the seashore and in one of these caves, he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls inside. It seemed as though someone had rolled up some clay and left them in the sun to bake. They did not appear like much, but it still intrigued the man, so he took the bag from the cave with him.
As he strolled along the beach to pass the time, he would throw the
balls, one at a time out into the ocean, just as far as he could throw them. He
thought little about it until he dropped one of the balls. It cracked
open on a rock and inside was a beautiful precious stone. The man then excitedly started
breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each of them contained a similar
treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so
clay balls that he had left. It them struck him. He had been on the beach quite a
long time.
He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden
treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in
treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands but he just threw
it away.
It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves,
and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the
outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling, so we discount it. We
see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish
or well known or wealthy. We have not taken the time to find the
treasure hidden inside that person by God.
There is a treasure in each and every one of us, you see. If we take the time
to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person, in the
way that He sees them, the clay will begin to peel away and the brilliant
gem will begin to shine forth.
May we not come to the end of our lives and then find out that we have
thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in
bits of clay. May we see the people in this world as God sees them.
Today, I will take the time to be happy
and will leave my footprints and my presence in the hearts of others.
Have a good day and an even better one tomorrow.
I thought you would enjoy this story as well as I did. Thanks, John

DETERMINATION AND DRIVE ARE NECESSARY
By John Sprague
Determination and drive are necessary for you to find success. Youll need to organize your images and keyword ideas and solidify primary goals before you can proceed in earnest. Remember, youll also want to utilize your special traits and characteristics as you set up keywords in your website that you will require, in order to portray your special story and angle that only you can create. Everyone has their own set of unique abilities. Decide what your God given knowledge specialties are. Once youve combined your goals with the abilities you possess, youre ready to begin the adventure. You will need your own Site Domain identity, a Professional looking Keyword enhanced Website of several pages and Web Hosting on the main street of the World Wide Web. Sure, there are free websites but that would only put you on a back street. Youll need to spend at least ten dollars per month to get started. It takes money to make money. Really, it has always been that way through history. The computer age has actually made it easier to get started in business. Once you have set up your nice Web Pages with your unrivaled content, youll need Targeted Traffic. Does it all sound easy so far? If youve set your goals and identified your specialties, you are going to accomplish what you set out to do. You wont get rich overnight. It doesnt happen that way. You are going to have to be patient and not quit. Plan to stay for the long haul. It is not hard work but it will require some serious effort. Youll want to have some Mentoring along the way and not jump in to every Opportunity that will be presented to you. Some will be less than Stellar and you will need to do some Research so as not to be pulled into something that will not benefit you. Thats why mentoring is important and studying the wide selection of free ebooks and ezines that are available online. Harness yourself with knowledge as you make your way on the online marketplace. Make sure your product or products are targeted properly. You dont want to sell furniture to the stationary market. You can buy leads but it is best to create your own customers that are interested in your specific product. The way you will do this is by setting up an auto responder on your website. It is not really that big a job to set one up. What ever you do, start out with the free version. Until you get your business running the way you want, you need to keep you expenses in check. Im convinced that you can operate at least initially on less than twenty dollars per month. When a year has gone by and the business is starting to bring in some income, it is ok to upgrade. The fellow marketers are going to try to get you to spend money constantly online. Stay in your budget and be careful as you built up your domain of significance. WHAT IS YOUR MARKETING SUCCESS RATE?
By John Sprague
Depending on the goals that you set for yourself, one persons sucess rate could be quite different from the next person. See, you need a goal first in order to make that assessment. Without a goal, youll never ever reach your desired success rate. Decide where you want your business to be in one year from now. You may even be able to have a five year plan. Of course, this means you cant quit. To be successful in whatever you do in life requires some kind of goal and the determination and focus to reach your preferred end result. This goal is necessary or you wont be successful in anything you do. It isnt just MLM that Im talking about here. The sky is the limit as to what this could entail. Everything from diets to marriages and beyond is among the possibilities here. So if you havent set your long or short term goals, you need to lock them in right now. Now that we have that out of the way, how long are you going to go with the same marketing approach before you see positive results? Does it seem like a reasonable amount of time or are you doing something wrong? Are you using the right keywords and do you have a good lead base in which to advertise your product? Most marketers will tell you that your money is in your list. They are mostly right but you need a certain kind of list. If you have one hundred targeted opt-in leads, this list could be even more valuable than thousands of untargeted people on whatever type of list you have. Is your product something that you would want at a price you would be willing to pay? You always need to put yourself in the other persons shoes. When I had my own bricks and mortar business, I was told, more than once, to take some time off and look at your business from a distance and see the way it is perceived by others. You need to be objective and see how other potential customers view your website promotions and product. There are some great products out there and there others less than stellar. If you add products, make sure they compliment your other products and the same targeted list will work for you. If you are doing everything right, have a plan in place and the willingness to see it through, it is just a matter of time before you have your positive success rate that you can be proud of. ARE YOU A MARKETING KINDRED?
By John Sprague
If you are like me and do online business today, you are somewhat aware that there are many proposals, propositions and schemes everywhere. Some are less than stellar while there are still others that are an excellent means of building a nice income. Many are very intriguing and interesting and seem very tempting, dont they? It is sometimes hard for us to determine the worthiness of these machinated projects that hold our interest and attention. Are these proposals only interested in our money and not our general welfare? Ive been quite lucky in that I have found some very good mentors that have helped me find my way around the Net. Ive avoided getting into some of the schemes online, partially because of my extreme caution. Initially, they had my interest and I could have easily been swept in. Some of the people, promoting these questionable opportunities, may only be looking to get my dollars while a few of these marketers are genuinely interested in helping me to better understand how the system works. These nice people, I consider my mentors and kindred spirits that are offering real friendship and compassion. They help to enhance the reputation of business online. These are the types of individuals I want to work with and you should too. Lets all be kindreds and make online marketing a respectable place where a greater percentage of marketers can succeed in a friendly and favorable marketplace.
ACTS 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Weight Loss Facts:
Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
What about Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Dieting Plans?
Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week. Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program. While some people may like these types of dietary programs, we prefer a dieting plan which focuses on faster weight loss, such as the Accelerated Fat Burning Program shown below...

By Tony Robbins
1) By altering your body's physiology, you can achieve an immediate change of your emotional state. The mind will follow whatever state your phsyical body is in and not vice-versa.
2) Ask specific questions of yourself (in your self-talk) to direct and control your attention to the various aspects of the human experience. The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the questions you ask of yourself.
3) Get leverage to create personal change by associating an old behavior with massive pain and the desired new behavior with massive pleasure. Tony is a big believer in the pain/pleasure principles of life and this applies in business as well.
4) When you get stuck, interupt your limiting pattern by doing something totally unexpected.
5) You can condition your behavior by visualizing it over and over again. This is not exactly unique to Tony Robbins, but he does reinforce this message in all of his products.
6) Goal-setting strategy: Know your end outcome; Take massive intelligent action; Have sensory-acuity to notice if you are getting the results you desire and if not; change your approach; and change *until* you get your end outcome.
7) Create a "Compelling future" by vividly imagining your end result to generate enthusiasm and power within yourself. The past does not equal the future. Find beliefs that support your goals and desires.
8) Youth is Power! This is one of Tony's beliefs. Even if you don't have fancy degrees, your youth can still mean power, flexibility and opportunity for your life.
9) Principles of CANI! CANI stands for Constant And Never-ending Improvement. It's a basic tenet of Tony Robbins.
10) NLP can be useful. NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming and there are many NLP undertones in Tony's basic tenets. He went on to morph NLP into his own technology called "NAC" (Neuro Associative Conditioning).

Charlton Heston Made History
By Doug Patton
April 7, 2008

"Some people make headlines while others make history." -- Philip Elmer-DeWitt, American Writer and Editor
There are few of the old stars left in Hollywood, men who loved their country enough to show her the respect, service and loyalty she deserves. Charlton Heston was one of those stars.
Heston joined the military during World War II. After his discharge from the U.S. Army Air Corps, he went on to become one of the most famous actors of his generation.
Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille is said to have been struck by the muscular, 6-foot-3-inch Heston's likeness to Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses. Heston's portrayal of the Old Testament prophet in DeMille's 1956 biblical epic, "The Ten Commandments," etched his image upon the American consciousness.
A few years later, Heston starred in "Ben-Hur," a movie that stood for a generation as the most honored film in Hollywood history, receiving eleven Academy Awards, including best picture and best actor (Heston).
Both these movies dealt with great themes that stirred moviegoers to consider the nobility of their spiritual legacy. These two films stand as a testament, not only to the contribution of a great actor in a golden age of filmmaking, but also to the willingness of Hollywood to inspire us and to reinforce our faith, rather than degrade us and make us ashamed of our Judeo-Christian heritage, as does so much of today's Hollywood fare.
Charlton Heston remains the enduring face of both these films, as well as many others, such as "The Agony and the Ecstasy," a 1965 telling of the story of Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling for Pope Julius II.
But Heston was much more than just a handsome face or even a great actor. He was an activist. Long before he became known for his passionate leadership of the National Rifle Association, and long before it was fashionable in Hollywood, he joined the cause of desegregation. When an Oklahoma movie theater refused to allow blacks to attend the premier his 1961 film, "El Cid," Heston joined the picket line outside the theater. Heston also accompanied the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., at the 1963 Washington, D.C., civil rights march.
Back in 1960, Heston had been a supporter of John F. Kennedy for president; but by 1980, he had switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican and became an ardent supporter of his old Hollywood friend, Ronald Reagan. A consistent foe of racial discrimination, Heston spoke out against affirmative action. He even resigned from the Actors Equity Association because of the union's refusal to allow a white actor to play a Eurasian role in the stage version of "Miss Saigon." Heston called the action "obscenely racist."
And in an era when most of Hollywood was refusing to criticize violence and obscenity in "the arts," Heston rebuked Time Warner at a stockholders meeting for releasing a violent rap album featuring the song "Cop Killer."
Carlton Heston was a great person in my estimation and someone I admired. I thought you would enjoy Doug's article as much as I did.- John.

KEYWORD PLACEMENT IS THE ESSENSE OF OPTIMUM MARKETING
By John Sprague
In determining correct keyword labeling, it is pertinent that you fully understand the targeted market that you desire to draw business inward. Those keywords that you choose and place effectively within a website will be like little magnets for search engines out in spider land. Using the wrong keywords may bring those who like your site content but will not buy anything you have to offer. It is therefore necessary that you spend some time thinking about what will bring in the ideal customer for your product. This decision could be the difference between success and failure. If the right person hits on your sales item, it may benefit you in ways that you havent fully understood yet. Remember, a website is not just about having fun, it can be the source of a successful business that you will be very proud of. Money might start flowing in if you play your cards right. You can also optimize the use of these needed keywords or keyword phrases in your written articles that you have placed on your website. This will further direct additional targeted traffic to the website realm that you have chosen. Keyword density, although not as important as it once was, is still a source of enhanced activity if you organize how the keywords that you have chosen are situated within your website. Your own thoughts and ideas are important here since you want to create with your own uniqueness. Other peoples ideas are great but your own ones set you apart from the rest of the flock. Certain keywords are more valuable and need to have more exposure while less valuable words need to be reduced and replaced by more prominent keywords. This shows how the PPC or pay per click value of the word usage within your pages may have a direct influence on the successfulness of your site. It also demonstrates how your work is perceived by others. If you are deemed to be a respectable authority of any given subject matter, then your marketing success rate just went up. Here, it would be preferable if this result were through the roof rather than just another mediocre observation. You can clearly see how the proper use of keywords targeted to your sales pitch is the correct ones to include. To sell the right product with the least variance from your main goal, the keywords or keyword phrases need to bring in the ideal customers who are seeking what you have to offer them. Here is to your successful refinement of the most unique words in order to satisfy your needs and be attractive to others who visit your website. John Sprague is presently an overseas contractor from the US who enjoys writing in his spare time.
